.name

.Name domain names operate on a global top-level domain just like .com, .net or .org. .Name (pronounced “ dot name ”) is the most recent global top-level domain to open up for registrations on its second level. There are actually no restrictions on use of .Name domain names, but the .Name domain is only for registrations that are names, nicknames, or anything a person is commonly called. Of course, this definition is pretty broad. But it's official: the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) approved the .name extension in November 2000.

Dot name is for individuals. Any person can register .Name domain names. In addition, it is you may register a dot name domain for a fictional character, if – yes, there's a limitations here – you legally own that character. So be careful and make sure that you meet the restrictions of dot name registration before you go ahead and register.
